    1. Yes, I was going to add Pollyanna to the list, but I couldn't remember who wrote it! Anna, I was just wondering if you would like to be Facebook friends? I won't be offended if you don't want to, but if you do, my name is Cheryl Gilmore, and I am in Merritt, British Columbia, Canada. We could phone each other through messenger, as well. I would like that. Again, I won't be offended, if you don't want to! Oh, and thank you so much, for picking me for your Alpha readers! I appreciate it, and promise to do my best for you.

    2. Of course! and I am sure you will do a great job, your input will be so valuable to me. The request would never offend me <3 The thing is to be honest I don't use Facebook much and I barely have anything on there haha :) But I would love to be friends with you on facebook, and I would love to talk to you sometimes! We'll figure it out :) I'll send you a request :)

Summer goals

I was just thinking about what I plan on doing this summer. The most important thing is STAY COOL. I hate being hot. I love the sun, but seriously? Does it have to get so stinking hot? I sweat . . . err, glisten . . . real easily, so I don't like being hot. I don't have air conditioning in my apartment, though I do have one fan that I am already using. Aw well. I guess I can't always have my way, eh? (I know, but I had to say it. I'm Canadian, eh?) Anyways, here's a few goals of mine this summer: (1) read more - - - I would like to read a lot more books. I have about 300 books on my Kobo, plus about 50 physical copies I haven't read, yet. Not to mention, all the books I want to reread. Whew! Yep, that's definitely a goal of mine. (2) write 20 000 words of "Hooked Forever" - - - I want to write this during the summer. I would love to write more than that, but, you know? (3) Babysit more - - - I love to look after children and I intend to...
ME? A WRITER?      Hi! My name is Cheryl Gilmore, and I am a writer. Yes, I finally said it. I AM A WRITER. This one statement took me almost thirty three years to say out loud.      It happened, today. I was watching a YouTube video on writing and the guy said, "If you write, then you are a writer. Simple as that."      That got me. Yes, I write, and yes I want to be published someday, but am I, really, a writer?      I don't understand all the grammar rules and exceptions in writing, even though I got A's in my English courses. (I would usually study my butt off for a test, then completely forgot everything when it was over.) But, I do know, I love to write. (Okay, I know I'm repeating that word over and ...

Meet Kassa-Leigh

This is a picture I found on Pexel. Meet Kassa-Leigh Ana Williams. She is the main character in my novel, "Hooked Forever." This book starts out when Kassa-Leigh is seven years old. Her daddy had just died of a heart attack, and her mommy doesn't know how to handle the loss. The story goes on to show the struggles of single parenting, and eventually neglect and abuse of a little girl. This young beauty finally runs away, and meets Nikka, a girl her age. Together, they start a life at a  modern brothel. But, God has other plans for Kassa-Leigh and Nikka, and they discover the love of strangers, friends they never knew they had, and the love of God.
