Christian Authors I Love to Read



       Christian fiction is becoming big business, and there are a lot of great authors out there. These are just a few of them that I recommend you think of when buying a book.

(1) Terri Blackstock - She writes mainly mystery/suspense.

(2) Karen Kingsbury - She writes mainly contemporary romance.

(3) Dee Henderson -  She writes mystery/suspense

(4) Francine Rivers - She mainly writes romance.

(5) Davis Bunn, Aka T. Davis Bunn - He writes historical romance, mainly.

(6) Janette Oke - She writes historical romance.

(7) Lori Wick - She writes Contemporary romance, mainly.

(8) Frank Perreti - He writes spiritual warfare fiction. (Spooky novels!)

(9) Gilbert Morris - He writes various genres, including historical romance, and mystery.

(10) Beverley Lewis -  She writes Amish romance.

Summer goals

I was just thinking about what I plan on doing this summer. The most important thing is STAY COOL. I hate being hot. I love the sun, but seriously? Does it have to get so stinking hot? I sweat . . . err, glisten . . . real easily, so I don't like being hot. I don't have air conditioning in my apartment, though I do have one fan that I am already using. Aw well.                                   ME? A WRITER?      Hi! My name is Cheryl Gilmore, and I am a writer. Yes, I finally said it. I AM A WRITER. This one statement took me almost thirty three years to say out loud.      It happened, today. I was watching a YouTube video on writing and the guy said, "If you write, then you are a writer. Simple as that."      That got me. Official Beta Reader/Thoughts of the Day

I am an official Beta Reader! Yaaaaayyyy! I am so excited to be reading a book from a UK writer that I met on Twitter. I must say, Twitter is wonderful. I don't know why I had never gone on it before yesterday. I now have 3 followers! (Hey, don't laugh!)      Anyways, I will also be an Alpha reader, which I think is the same thing as a Beta Reader, for a wonderful young lady I met here on  my blog. I have contacted other authors and hope to make this a part time job. Even if I don't get paid for it, this is a great opportunity to meet other writers, and give feedback on their books.      I just read a blog from Quills and Coffee, where she spoke of the need for clean books to read. I agree that this is important, especially for young adults, and new Christians.
