     Beta Reader Wannabe!


Hi! Are there any writers out there, who would like to give me a chance to be an Alpha/Beta reader for their new book? I would love  to start doing this part time. I'm not expecting to be paid much, and I would love the experience!

     I am a writer, as you know from my blog, and I am an avid reader. I had received A's in English, almost all of  my school years, and got a B+ in a grade 12 Writing course. (I didn't do well in the poetry part! Lol.)

     I am willing to start out this new adventure of Beta reading, absolutely free of charge, so if you can't pay me, then don't worry about it!

Oh, and the ideal book I would like to critique would be one without a lot of swearing, and little to no sex scenes, as I am a Christian.

Summer goals

I was just thinking about what I plan on doing this summer. The most important thing is STAY COOL. I hate being hot. I love the sun, but seriously? Does it have to get so stinking hot?                                   ME? A WRITER?      Hi! My name is Cheryl Gilmore, and I am a writer. Yes, I finally said it. I AM A WRITER. This one statement took me almost thirty three years to say out loud.      It happened, today. I was watching a YouTube video on writing and the guy said, "If you write, then you are a writer. Official Beta Reader/Thoughts of the Day

I am an official Beta Reader! Yaaaaayyyy! I am so excited to be reading a book from a UK writer that I met on Twitter. I must say, Twitter is wonderful. I don't know why I had never gone on it before yesterday. I now have 3 followers! (Hey, don't laugh!)      Anyways, I will also be an Alpha reader, which I think is the same thing as a Beta Reader, for a wonderful young lady I met here on  my blog. I have contacted other authors and hope to make this a part time job. Even if I don't get paid for it, this is a great opportunity to meet other writers, and give feedback on their books.      I just read a blog from Quills and Coffee, where she spoke of the need for clean books to read. I agree that this is important, especially for young adults, and new Christians.
